Favourite spots in Oslo with Anna

Anna of the North and Cala Jade

Oslo, a tiny love story.

This is where Cala Jade was born, and where our office is located. We love this city for many reasons, we are close to nature and close to all things urban. It is diverse, and for us it is the perfect blend.

We asked one of our favorite artist and fellow Oslo-lover, Anna of The North, to give us her best tips and show us her favorite spots in the city we call home.

EKT Rideskole, Ekebergveien 99. Ride a horse or visit the animal park. They also have a café with classic Norwegian waffles.

Smia Galleri, Opplandsgata 19. A hidden gem at Vålerenga, a part of town that houses football, ice-hockey and a lot of local Oslo citizens. Originally a bakery built in 1878, this house got much needed tender, love and care and re-opened in 2003 as a restaurant with a beautiful garden and atmosphere. Come and listen to music, grab dinner or just stop by for a drink.

The Little Pickle, Jens Bjelkes gate 9a. Bakery by day, restaurant at night. On Sundays, this is the place to go for a traditional roast dinner.

Becco Bar, Kristian Augusts gate 11.  In Oslo city centre there is a hidden back alley that houses great food and drinks. Among them is Becco, three floors with wine and music.

Oslobukta, Bjørvika. Rent a Kayak, grab dinner, go our for a drink, visit the Munch museum and the Opera house. Find all you need for a perfect Oslo day right here.

Eagle bar, Grønlandsleiret 17A. This is where we go to end the night with some karaoke. Say no more.
